Get in the holiday spirit.  Join us on December 2 to visit Ethel M Chocolates Holiday Cactus Garden.  This holiday display has been one of Las Vegas' premier holiday attractions for the over 20 years, charming guests with an incredible display of lights. The 3-acre Botanical Cactus Garden, located adjacent to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory, features hundreds of thousands of lights illuminated up for all to enjoy and attracts thousands of festive chocolate lovers each year. The annual event is free to attend. After the tour, we’ll stop by the chocolate shop for some delicious treats.

GRAMMY Award-winning entertainment icon Dwight Yoakam will make his Wynn Las Vegas debut with a six-night residency, An EVENING WITH DWIGHT YOAKAM & THE BAKERFIELD BEAT, at the Encore Theater. Guests will take a journey with songs, sights, and stories through California country music’s dramatic arrival and lasting impact on American pop music culture.
Yoakam will perform a variety of the music that influenced and created the “Bakersfield” and “California Country-Rock” genres of country music from their early beginnings to their commercial zenith, in addition to his own original music that was shaped and influenced by this legacy. The two talented friends at the keyboards are Sandra Carnes and Jane Mehta.  Sandra holds two degrees in piano performance and served as professor of music at her alma mater, heading its music department for 14 years.  Jane founded the Songster Choir and has served as its accompanist for 10 years.
 
 
 
DRIVING MISS DAISY

This production chronicles the inspiring friendship between Daisy Werthan, a 72-year old Jewish woman from Atlanta, and Hoke Colburn, her African American chauffeur who is hired against her will by her son, Boolie.
 
Daisy is brought to life by Sheree J. Wilson, who earned a global fanbase starring in two popular, television series. She performed the character of April Stevens Ewing in the hit series “Dallas,” and costarred as Alex Cahill-Walker for the eight-year run of “Walker, Texas Ranger” opposite Chuck Norris.
 
Clarence Gilyard, costarring as Hoke, has an extensive career in theater, television and film – including currently heading the film/theater department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Gilyard remains best known for his roles as Jimmy Trivette on television show “Walker, Texas Ranger” and as Conrad McMasters on the television series “Matlock.” He has also appeared in feature films, including “Die Hard,” “Top Gun” and “The Karate Kid, Part II.”
 
Rick Bugg, playing Boolie, serves as director and theater professor at Southern Utah University and founded the popular Neil Simon Festival in Cedar City. He has appeared in films and many television series, including “Touched by an Angel.”

Lifestyle Department Survey Winner Drawing
Congratulations to Rick Warner who was the lucky winner of a $100 VISA Gift Card for participating in the Lifestyle Department Survey Drawing.  Residents were asked to fill out the Lifestyle Survey included in the October issue of The Breeze.  All the completed surveys turned in at the Front Desk were placed in the drawing.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey.  We value your opinions about our programs, events and services.

Please join our new Fitness Instructor David Wilson for the fitness classes listed above. He will offer the following classes on Tuesday and Friday mornings, beginning Tuesday, November 5 and Friday, November 8.
 
7 a.m. – 8 a.m. Motivational Mornings 
8 a.m. - 9 a.m. Fitness Weight Training
 
To register for these classes, please sign up at the Front Desk now.  The  fee is $3 per class or your Fitness Punch Card.
 
David is a sport enthusiast and has worked for a professional basketball team developing team training for coaches and athletes, including two NBA players.

The Friday Night Social and Dance provides residents with an entertaining evening of enjoyment, social interaction and pleasurable exercise.  You are welcome to bring your favorite snacks and drinks/libation (BYOB).
