Fitness Classes Update

There will be a 9 a.m. Aqua Aerobics class on Saturday, May 18.

 

The 9 a.m. Chair Yoga Class and the 10 a.m. Pilates Class on Wednesday, May 22 will be held as scheduled.

 

 

 

 CARDIO, STRENGTHENING AND TONING CLASS

If you regularly participate in the highly attended Monday morning fitness class "Floor and More" at 9 a.m., you now have another opportunity to participate in an additional challenging fitness class.

Fitness Instructor Sarah Smith leads a class on Wednesdays at 8 a.m. that combines cardio, strengthening and toning. Most activities can be modified. But if you want a more intense workout, this is the class for you.  Her class will ONLY BE OFFERED the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of most months. 

The dates for May are: 5/8 and 5/22. For more information, please contact Sarah Smith 702-778-0120.

 

 

Try Out the New Zumba Class

on Wednesdays at 4 p.m.

with Suzy Campbell

 

We’re offering Zumba at a great new time!  Suzy Campbell will teach a Zumba class at on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. This gives you time to get all of your appointments out of the way and have a good workout from 4-5 p.m. Then you’ll keep burning calories through dinner and the rest of the evening.

 

She has taught Zumba for the past 11 years and is licensed to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold and Zumba Toning. Suzy is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. So, get in the groove and try out Suzy’s new class… you’ll be glad you did!

 

 

 

Friday Night Social and Dance Party

Step up and get ready to dance!  The Lifestyle  Department host the Friday Night Social and Dance Party in the Vista Ballroom from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Come and enjoy an evening of socializing, dancing and great music.  The dance floor is open no matter what kind of dancing you enjoy.

 

The Friday Night Social and Dance Party provides residents with an entertaining evening of enjoyment, social interaction and pleasurable exercise.  You are welcome to bring your favorite snacks and drinks/libation (BYOB).

 

Free to Sun City Aliante residents; $4.00 for each guest.

Movie Night

 

The Lifestyle Department hosts Movie Night in the Vista Ballroom.  

Come and enjoy an evening of entertainment.   

You are welcome to bring your favorite snacks and drinks, but alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the movies.

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer, Freddie Mercury.  Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.  The film stars Rami Malek, Lucy Bointon and Gwilym Lee.  It is rated PG-13 (biography, drama), and it runs 2 hours, 14 minutes.

Don’t miss the opportunity to cheer on your local baseball team and enjoy a night of great camaraderie and fun.

The Aviators recently announced a new two-year Player Development Contract (PDC) with the Oakland A’s in the Major Baseball League.

 We will depart SCAL at 5 p.m. for the 7 p.m. game.

Join us to experience what it was like when the Mob ruled Las Vegas at the newly-opened National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement™ -- The Mob Museum on May 21. Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, The Mob Museum showcases both sides of the notorious battle between organized crime and law enforcement. 

 

You’ll see everything from Tommy guns to film clips to interactive exhibits that give you the details of casino scams and insider’s look at the Mob. With high-tech presentations, iconic one-of-a-kind artifacts and interactive exhibits, you can finally discover the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
