THE SUN CITY ALIANTE PATROL
NEEDS YOU AS A VOLUNTEER

What does THE PATROL do?  This is a common question our volunteers get from interested residents. To clarify our mission, The Patrol provides a presence to deter and discourage crime within the Sun City Aliante community. This is accomplished through patrolling the streets of the community to establish a deterrent. The Patrol operation is run by the Patrol Committee which meets once a month to discuss patrol matters. You may have seen our new patrol vehicle on the streets.

The Patrol also responds to calls for service from the Community Center Front Desk. The Patrol is constantly looking for suspicious persons, vehicles and incidents. We conduct self-initiated activities while on patrol and are always on the front line to offer assistance to our residents while on patrol.

The Patrol does a myriad of other activities within the community and our constant objective is a “neighbors helping neighbors” attitude.  We cannot reveal the exact times when we patrol, however, our volunteers are on patrol for two hour shifts at least once a month. All members are trained and are issued a basic uniform.

For information regarding the Sun City Aliante Patrol, contact the Patrol Chairman Tony Swat at 708-431-4648.

EUCHRE CLUB

The Euchre Club is expanding.  They started with 12 members and now have 36.
We meet at 1:00 every Monday in the Vista Room or Activities Room.

This past year we have been hosting a Euchre Tournament once a month.  Every
one enjoys taking part and we have a lot of fun.
They serve pizza and then play cards.
They always welcome new members and will teach anyone how to play.

For more information,  contact Cheryl Gustin at 319-415-0471.

TABLE TENNIS

The Table Tennis Club invites you to join them for morning club play.  See if you can keep up with our 90+ players.  Chieko and Ed (pictured here) want to challenge you to a game of doubles.

They play Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Social Hall.  All ages and skill levels are invited.  They also have social time with quarterly potluck lunches or outings at local restaurants.  The Club sponsors the yearly Lunar New Year’s party.  Join them for exercise, fun and fellowship.
