 TREE SUCKERS

You may have recently received a notice regarding TREE SUCKERS. I thought this would be a good time to remind you to remove them. Please see below to see why are not a benefit to your landscaping.

*  Tree suckers are shoots that grow from the base or roots of a tree.

*  They often emerge in response to stress, injury, or environmental changes.

*  Suckers can divert nutrients and water from the main tree, affecting its health.

*  They can be removed to promote better growth and maintain the tree's shape.

*  Regular pruning of suckers helps improve air circulation and sunlight exposure.

*  Identifying the cause of sucker growth can help prevent future occurrences.

HOA ASSESSMENT REMINDER

The Board approved the 2026–2027 budget with a $10.00 per quarter increase effective July 1, 2026.

As of July 1, Sun City Aliante HOA assessments have increased from $290 to $300 per quarter, due at the beginning of July, October, January, and April. FirstService Residential accepts HOA payments by check, money order, through your bank. The preferred option is the Online Bill Pay feature:
 ClickPay.

STATE REQUIRED AGE VERIFICATION SURVEY
Keep 'em coming!
Please note that the survey requires you to identify everyone living in your household ~ husband, wife, children, family member or anyone else living in your house. This survey must be completed by August 31, 2026 to comply with Federal Regulations to ensure our community keeps its age restricted status.

Age Verification Forms are available at the Front Desk of the Community Center and in the Customer Service Coordinator, Carol Garbarino's office.

You  can also click on this link.

AGE VERIFICATION SURVEY COUNTDOWN:

1,149 RECEIVED

  898 OUTSTANDING

THE STATE REQUIRES EVERYONE TO SUBMIT THE FORM.

HAVE YOU COMPLETED YOURS YET?  ASK YOUR NEIGHBOR, TOO!

THE SPA (HOT TUB) HEATER
As mentioned last week, permit requests have been submitted. We look forward to starting the install soon.
We appreciate your patience!

Just an FYI... We continue to run the pump to circulate the water.  In addition, we  test the water daily and adjust the chemicals as needed. So rest assured, the water is not contaminated.

PROJECT UPDATES

  • The second water bottle station will be installed inside the Fitness Center soon.
  • We'll be relocating one of the existing fountains to the pool area and removing the malfunctioning fountain.
  • The Board approved two tankless water heaters which will be installed hopefully within the next 60 days.
  • The Board approved the purchase of 52 arm chairs to complement the newly-ordered tables scheduled to be placed in the Activity Room and Fireplace Room.

CAPITAL WORKSHOP FOLLOW UP

We would like to thank everyone who attended the recent Capital Workshop. We received a lot of good information and suggestions.

For example, covered parking with solar panels and expanding the building. (Now keep in mind, these were just suggestions and are not currently active projects.)

I am currently working with the Board on reviewing all of the items suggested, comparing them to our Board workshop notes, along with projects that are already in motion. Next week, I will follow up with more details.

DO YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION?

I am very passionate about listening to the needs and suggestions of our homeowners.  I really would appreciate your input about new and exciting FREE/low-cost events.

For example, Karaoke Night in the Grand View Room. And... should we bring back Casino drop-offs which would only cost a minimum amount for the bus?

Please stop by the Front Desk, put it in writing, and place it in our new SUGGESTION BOX located on the table by the new FUTURE EVENTS WALL.

While you're at it... consider being featured in The Breeze magazine for a Resident Spotlight.  Or if you are feeling shy, we could just spotlight your pet in the PET PAW PRINTS section of the magazine.

More information available at the Front Desk.

This is my weekly volunteer push!!!

ARE YOU SKIPPING THE CHECK-IN LINE?

Did  you know that everything that happens in the Community Center is driven by numbers?  In other words, if you don't check-in each time you visit the Community Center, you don't get counted.

What does that mean for you? At the moment, nothing until...
You ask for something!

If you ask for something to be added to the Community Center,
the first thing the Board is going to ask me to do is:
LOOK AT THE NUMBERS!

Are we going to have the data we need
to fulfill the request/need?

This is my gentle reminder to ask you to continue to check in each time you visit the Community Center.
